1) Who we are

This website and service (the “Service”) are operated by aiCarousels AB, Stora Varvsgatan 17B, 211 75 Malmö, Sweden. The Service is currently accessible via the descriptive domain names resumemaker.online, cvbuilder.online and generateresume.ai. Email: [email protected]. If you are an EU consumer, you benefit from mandatory consumer rights in your country. These Terms do not limit those rights.

2) Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• If your country requires a higher age for online consent, you must meet that age or use the Service with parental consent.
• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

3) What the Service provides

You can build and edit a CV for free. A paid purchase is required to export or download a finished PDF, or to access paid features. We are an independent EU-based service and not affiliated with any companies that use similar names or trademarks.

4) Prices, Currency and Taxes

• Prices are shown in EUR and, in some cases, in your local currency for convenience.
• All payments are processed in USD at checkout. Your bank or card provider converts automatically and may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
• Checkout clearly shows the final payable USD amount before you confirm payment.
• Where required by law, displayed prices include VAT and other applicable taxes.

5) Accounts and Security

• Accounts and subscriptions are managed by Outseta.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe we do not store card numbers. See Outseta’s Terms and Stripe’s Terms.

6) Acceptable Use

• No scraping or bulk automated requests that degrade performance.
• No infringement of third-party rights or unlawful use.
• No attempts to access or reverse engineer our systems or models.

7) Intellectual Property

All site content is owned by us or licensed to us. You retain full ownership of your CV content. We only process your content as needed to operate the Service.

8) AI Features

• Our AI tools assist with writing and formatting; output may not always be accurate.
• You decide what content to include in your CV.
• We do not offer legal or HR advice and cannot guarantee job results.

9) Independence and Trademarks

We operate independently. We are not affiliated with any third party using similar names. All product names and trademarks mentioned on the site are property of their respective owners.

10) Subscriptions and Cancellation

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime in Account → Billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.

11) Refunds and EU Right of Withdrawal

• We follow EU rules on withdrawal for distance contracts.
• Subscriptions: you have a 14-day withdrawal period. If you start service during this time, we may charge a proportionate amount for usage. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable for the current term.

12) Service Changes and Termination

We may update or discontinue features and suspend accounts that violate these Terms. We will provide notice of material changes when possible.

13) Disclaimers and Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect losses or loss of data stored locally on your device. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14) Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of laws rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may bring proceedings in your local courts or in Sweden. In all other cases, the courts of Stockholm, Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction. This is without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be limited by contract.

What Data We Process

• CV data you enter, stored locally in your browser by default.
• Account and billing data (name, email, payment status, VAT) via Outseta and Stripe.
• Diagnostics and device data (basic logs, crash reports).
• AI inputs you send when using AI features.

AI Processing and Training

We use trusted third-party AI APIs — including OpenAI and Gemini (by Google) — to power optional AI features such as content generation and headshot creation. Limited text or image data you choose to submit may be processed by these providers solely to generate results. We have opted in to allow OpenAI to use anonymized API data to improve its models. OpenAI’s and Google’s privacy commitments are available in their OpenAI Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. You can always use the editor without AI features.

Retention

• Invoices and tax records kept for 7 years under Swedish law.
• Account data retained while active or as required by law.
• CV content remains until you clear your browser data or delete it manually.

Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, or request restriction of processing. Contact us at [email protected]. You may also contact your local data authority.
